Police destroys illegal drugs baggage at Sally Mugabe Hospital

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has destroyed large quantities of illegal drugs and substances at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital’s incinerators following court disposal orders.
According to a post on the ZRP's official X (formerly Twitter) account, the destruction took place on 6 October 2025.
"On 06/10/25, the ZRP coordinated the destruction of 83.9kg of dagga, 174.58 grammes of Crystal Meth, 75kg skin lightening creams, 1.8kg of illegal whisky and 256.9 litres of unregistered medicines at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital's incinerators," read the post.
The substances were destroyed after the courts convicted and sentenced the accused persons for drug peddling and related offences.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and illegal trafficking across Zimbabwe.
