ZANU PF Zvimba West legislator and Deputy Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Mercy Dinha, is being praised for spearheading grassroots transformation through targeted constituency development initiatives.

The recognition comes from Varakashi4ED Mash West, a ZANU PF-affiliated group, which posted on X (formerly Twitter) highlighting Dinha's use of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to empower communities.

"Dinha, Member of Parliament for Zvimba West and Deputy Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, continues to champion grassroots transformation through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) - money allocated by the government to empower communities at constituency level," read the post.

Under her leadership, boreholes have been drilled in Masiyarwa, Murombedzi, Murindagomo, Hora, Jenami, and Chenzou, providing clean water and enabling the creation of Village Business Units (VBUs) focused on small-scale irrigation, poultry, horticulture, and other income-generating ventures.

Varakashi4ED noted that residents expressed gratitude to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for prioritising community development, and to Dinha for ensuring that every dollar of the CDF delivers impact where it matters most - at the grassroots.

"With additional programs in welding, driving, and entrepreneurship training, Zvimba West is fast becoming a beacon of empowerment and sustainable development," reads the post.

The initiatives align with Zimbabwe's Vision 2030 goals and reflect a growing emphasis on localised economic empowerment and infrastructure development.
