Prophet helps locate kidnapped child in Plumtree

A dramatic rescue unfolded in Plumtree after a local woman, Tshepo Ngwenya, reportedly located her missing daughter with the help of a prophet - leading to the arrest of a man accused of kidnapping the child.

Ngwenya, who had been searching for her daughter for several days, consulted a prophet who allegedly identified her carpenter, Mandla Moyo (45), as the perpetrator.

Acting on the tip, Ngwenya is said to have mobilised villagers who stormed Moyo’s residence, forcibly entered the premises, and retrieved the kidnapped child.

Moyo was remanded in custody yesterday by Magistrate Joshua, and the case is set to continue on October 22.
