Chiweshe robber sentenced to 7 years for motorbike theft

CHIWESHE - A 30-year-old man, Fidellis Rusenza of Mapondera Village, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for robbery after stealing a motorbike, $10, and a mobile phone.
Rusenza was convicted by Magistrate Ruramai Chitumbura, who suspended one year of the sentence on condition of good behaviour.
According to Prosecutor Carson Kundiona, the robbery occurred on April 9, when Rusenza broke into Lilian Muza's house and stole the items.
The case was cracked after police traced the stolen motorbike to Macheke, where it was recovered along with other stolen property.
