The Zimbabwe Sex Workers Alliance (ZIMSWA) has welcomed growing efforts to decriminalise sex work, praising stakeholders like Chisunga Trust for challenging discrimination and advocating for inclusive policy reform.

Speaking on behalf of the alliance, National Coordinator Queen Ncube emphasized that decriminalisation is not only a matter of justice and equality, but also a strategic move toward achieving Zimbabwe's public health goals—particularly the fight against HIV/AIDS by 2030.

"Continued discrimination fuels violence, corruption, and marginalisation," Ncube said. "Decriminalisation promotes safety, dignity, and better health outcomes."

ZIMSWA reaffirmed its support for Zimbabwe's national anti-discrimination strategy and called for broader collaboration with Parliament, civil society, and other institutions to ensure sex workers’ voices are heard in policy-making. The alliance continues to advocate for legal protection, healthcare access, and the overall wellbeing of sex workers across all provinces.
