GURUVE - The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland Central, Captain (Rtd) Christopher Magomo, is expected to preside over a community awareness event in Muchada village aimed at addressing the public health risks posed by open defecation.
According to an invitation seen by Bulawayo24.com, the Minister will visit Guruve following widespread concern over indiscriminate public defecation in the area, which authorities say threatens sanitation and community health.
"Diary Alert! The Minister will be presiding during the opening Defecation Status at Muchada village in Guruve. There will also be a handover of ICT materials at Chimbumu Primary tomorrow, 31st October 2025," the notice reads.
The event is expected to bring together local stakeholders to discuss solutions for improving sanitation infrastructure and promoting hygienic practices. It forms part of broader efforts to combat rural health risks and promote sustainable development in Mashonaland Central.
