Police confirm Bulawayo-Beitbridge road accident

	Police have confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on October 29 along the Bulawayo-Beitbridge Road, claiming three lives.
According to a statement posted on the Zimbabwe Republic Police's official X platform, the crash happened at the 22-kilometre peg when a Honda Fit carrying three passengers was struck from behind by a Scania haulage truck. The Honda Fit had slowed down to give way at a junction when the collision occurred. All three passengers died on the spot.
Meanwhile, ZRP Chinhoyi is investigating a separate fatal hit-and-run incident that took place on the same day at the 99-kilometre peg along the Harare-Chirundu Road. An unidentified man was struck by a motorist driving an unknown vehicle. The driver failed to stop, and the victim died instantly.
Police have urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to road safety regulations to prevent further loss of life.
