Plumtree man in court for assaulting brother over food dispute

PLUMTREE - A local man has appeared in court after allegedly assaulting his younger brother during a heated dispute over food.

Witness Ncube pleaded not guilty to assault charges when he appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware. The state, led by prosecutor Sheila Nyathi, alleges that on October 18, Ncube had a disagreement with his 36-year-old brother which escalated into physical violence.

The victim filed a police report, leading to Ncube's arrest. The matter has been remanded to November 7 for continuation.
