HARARE - Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo has claimed that Zimbabwe is blessed with a new generation of millionaires who are not only accumulating wealth but also making a difference in society.

Posting on his X account, Chivhayo counted himself among those millionaires and praised others such as Scott Sakupwanya, Elder Kudakwashe Tagwirei, and Paul Tungwarara for their contributions to national development.

"In a world where wealth is often hoarded and success kept behind closed doors, we are witnessing something extraordinary – a generation of millionaires who are not just making money, but making a difference," Chivhayo said.

He described these figures as nation-builders, dream-enablers, and symbols of possibility, noting their philanthropy and community investments.

"From gifting cars and sponsoring education to investing in communities and empowering youth, their actions speak louder than any speech," he added.

Chivhayo argued that if Zimbabwe had "just 10 more like them," the country would be far ahead, citing the ripple effects of their generosity.

He also credited President Emmerson Mnangagwa for creating an environment where indigenous entrepreneurs can thrive since 2017.

"The empowerment of local millionaires is not just economic - it's patriotic. Zimbabwe is rising, and it's rising with its own sons and daughters at the forefront," Chivhayo said.
