A Shamva man who threatened to kill his victim with a knife before raping her has been jailed 15 years.
Isaah Ruwaze was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment by Bindura regional magistrate Elisha Singano.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo told the court that Ruwaze entered the victim’s bedroom around midnight armed with a knife. He undressed, wore a condom and threatened to kill her, claiming he had been sent to take her life but would spare her if she allowed him “two strong rounds”.
He ordered the victim to hold his manhood and moved her underwear aside before raping her. After the first act, he forced the victim to caress him before wearing another condom and raping her again.
The victim later identified Ruwaze and filed a police report. He was arrested, taken to court and subsequently convicted.
