Tsvangirai was misled to think he is face of Zimbabwe - Analysts

Social commentators have said MDC-T leader was misled into believing that he is the only face of Zimbabwe who can liberate the country from Zanu PF's misrule hence he detects what ever the opposition party should do amid his recent declaration that his party will not participate in the by elections without even consulting the electorate.

Bekezela Fuzwayo  said another MDC-T split was looming due to the manner Tsvangirai is holding situations in the party.

"I honestly believe that the biggest mistake Zimbabweans ever made and continue to make is to make  Tsvangirai believe that he is the face of Zimbabwean opposition politics and the only person rightfully entitled to challenge Mugabe," said Fuzwayo.

"The day we collectively realise that Tsvangirai is responsible for the delays in the change we want will be the day we will seriously show a sign of wanting to remove this failed government we are under."

He said as long as people remain with this Tsvangirai Godfather mindset they  are only wasting time.

"It's time we now all believe in a new beginning with fresh minds under a unified opposition," said Fuzwayo. "The very sad thing is that so many capable democrats remain bound under him only to expedite their personal glories while misleading people yet knowing fully well that Tsvangirai remains a failed cause."

He said but why are people  doing that if they  honestly believe as they  say that Zimbabwe deserves better?

Alson Bhebhe said these splits should not make the opposition loose focus of their enemy.

"Unfortunately in Zimbabwe people want to find the man as if there is one without fault," he said.
