The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights have accused the police of breaching the High Court order which compelled them to report progress on the search of the political rights activists and journalist Itai Dzamara on fortnight bases.

ZLHR Communications Manager Kumbirai Mafunda said police have acted contrary to the order thereby ignoring to inform the courts on the progress made in the search for Dzamara.

Dzamara was abducted on March 9 while at a barbershop in Harare and his where about has not been known for more than 63 days now.

Zanu PF sympathizers claim that Dzamara is enjoying life in Botswana while opposition political parties claim he was abducted by the state security agents on behalf of the Zanu PF government which he has always vilified and attacked for misrule.

"Finding  ITAI-Zimbabwean police have once again breached the High Court order by failing to submit a fortnightly report on progress registered in the probe for missing pro-democracy activist freelance journalist Dzamara," said Mafunda.

"The ZRP failed to submit the fortnightly report which was due on Friday 08 May 2015."
