Villagers in ward 9 in Mazowe are up in arms with their headman identified as Chikukwa (Lloyd Chandavengerwa ) for allegedly selling communal stands to outsiders.
Chikukwa is reportedly selling stands for $600.
Villagers said the police are reluctant to arrest him despite numerous reports made.
"Chikukwa is not respecting his village committee, councillors and even Arex officers as per protocol" said a source at the village.
"ZRP officers at Chombira are reluctant to arrest him even when cases are reported.
'I have a copy dated 17/04/15 duly signed by the past village committee and duly signed by Sabhuku Chikukwa fully agreeing that he sold a stand belonging to R .Muzivi and sold to Takesure Madzudzo for $600.00 without the owners approval,".
Chikukwa is also accused of willy-nilly extended villagers stands in the process encroaching into other villagers areas.
A recent incident occurred on 9 September when he reportedly allocated Enny Kapiringishe extra land.
"The extended area had almost 1200 gum trees belonging to Givemore Takundwa but surprisingly Enny Kapiringishi set fire to the gum trees almost close to 200 gum trees were destroyed".
Takundwa made a report to an Arex officer identified as Sylvia Bondo who adviced him to report to Forestry Commission which covers Mazowe District in Glendale.
The police where also notified but according to villagers they are also reluctant to pursue the case.
