Cop tips notorious criminal to flee

Plumtree based cop Kudzai Hativagone is in trouble after allegedly telling an armed robber and attempted murder suspect to flee as police is looking for him.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates courts yesterday where Hativagone appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
He pleaded not guilty to defeating the course of justice charge.
The state alleged on August 8 Criminal Investigations Department (CID) homicide officers were looking for Simelweyinkosi Dube in connection with armed robbery and attempted murder cases.
Hativagone who is a good friend to the suspect alerted him that the police is looking for him and advised him to flee from Plumtree.
The police managed to pick Hatigone's shenanigans and arrested him.
The matter continues tomorrow.
