Cop steals 11 cattle

Tsholotsho police officer Traver Munyuki (31) and his accomplice Bernard Sibanda are in soup after they allegedly stole 11 cattle.
The duo appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware yesterday and was remanded in custody to February 24.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa alleged on August 16 the complainant Kaundi Nleya was informed by his herdsman that 11 cattle were missing.
He put the missing message on a WhatsApp group and two days later he got a tip off on the whereabouts of his cattle.
The complainant was in South Africa and had to come back and file a police report.
The police acted swiftly after getting information to the effect that the cattle were sent at Umguza abattoir for resale.
Sibanda was on the police wanted list after defaulting from the court in 2021 and crossing to South Africa.
He told the magistrate that he absconded court because he was possessed by a demon.
