Rapist's wife nabbed

A Plumtree based woman is in trouble after she tried to defeat the course of Justice by trying to bribe a rape victim.
Thokozani Mkandawire (30) was remanded in custody today by Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Mkandawire is wife to businessman Mike Cabangani Mathe who is already in custody for allegedly killing a rape victim.
This time the wife was trying to conceal another rape case.
The state alleged on May 1 Mkandawire phoned the complaint who is pressing rape charges against her husband and agreed to meet for braai.
The two met and Mkandawire proposed to pay the complaint to abscond court three times so that the case will not proceed at court.
She further proposed to pay her and relocate her out of Plumtree.
The complaint filed a police report leading to the arrest of Mkandawire.
Selestine Madziwa prosecuted.
