Rapist dozes off at crime scene

A 22-YEAR-OLD Plumtree suspected rapist allegedly slept at a crime scene soon after raping an eighteen-year-old victim.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates' courts on Friday, where Thabisani Moyo appeared before magistrate Mark Dzira.
He was remanded in custody to tomorrow.
The state, led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on May 15 that the suspect broke into the complainant's room during midnight.
He threatened to stab the complainant with a knife if she made any noise.
Moyo ordered the complainant to remove her clothes and raped her once without protection.
After the rape Moyo fell asleep and the complainant realized that he had fallen asleep and went to tell her aunt.
A police report was filed, leading to his arrest.
