Public utterances destroy Zanu-PF's integrity

The use and abuse of public fora such as media and rallies is working against the fabric of the revolutionary party Zanu-PF. President Mugabe has and continues to abhor the malicious, frivolous and libellous use of public rallies and the media in solving party issues.
Discipline is a virtue of good behaviour, respect of seniors and organisational structures. During the liberation war, renegades such as Reverend Sithole and those of the Nhari and Badza rebellion were not denigrated in public in the manner we are witnessing today.
While we said "pasi navo" they were never, before their arrests, denigrated publicly. Comrades only said "pasi navo" after they were arrested and removed from the camps.
President Mugabe has, on several occasions, told the nation and Zanu-PF in particular on how contradictions are solved within the party. It is an open secret that differences occur within an organisation. These differences, therefore, are solved using organisational structures, rules and regulations.
Zanu-PF as a political organisation has well streamlined structures, rules and regulations which all right-minded cadres in organs such as the Youth, Women's League, war veterans, ex detainees and so on must religiously respect and adhere to.
This is a culture that brings unity within the revolution party. Party cadres from cell to Politburo must understand that discipline and unity among all comrades, irrespective of their positions in the party, is essential for the survivability and growth of the party.
Everyone in the party must of necessity understand that whosoever violets the cardinal values and cultures of the party will be conflicting with the party constitution. It must be remembered that the integrity of the party is grounded on good discipline and behaviours of its members from cell to Politburo.
One cannot pretend to correct a perceived wrong by practicing or exercising wrong things in the guise of showing solidarity with the President. Such a practice or behaviour is counter revolutionary and should be condemned out-rightly.
No cadre has the authority or wisdom to denigrate any comrade in public before the party declares such a comrade an outright renegade. Such a practice where party rules and regulations are followed ensures cohesion and unity of purpose among comrades and within party organs. Violation of party rules and regulations should be seen as an act of indiscipline and those doing so should be brought to book regardless of who they are and why they are doing so.
The nation in general and the party fellowship in particular are sick and tired of the deplorable public utterances by senior party officials who seek glory by denigrating other comrades in public.
The organs of the party have representatives in both the Central Committee and Politburo of the party.
Why not use such structures to discipline such individuals whom comrades feel have gone off rail. True revolutionaries should be courageous enough to point out wrong doings of fellow cadres using party structures not in the media or rallies.
The party has departments such as commissariat and security, whose mandates are to educate and discipline party cadres respectively. It is disheartening to hear senior party officials abrogating the duties of these departments; saying deplorable languages against fellow comrades in public. During the liberation war these departments were effectively and efficiently used to educate and discipline cadres which resulted in uniting and strengthening the revolutionary party.
The culture of denigrating comrades in public forums is a new phenomenon in the party and seems to be gaining momentum which defies the tenets of good organisational administration and management.
This new phenomenon is an alien culture in the history of Zanu-PF and must be the work of the fifth column.
President Mugabe has repeatedly deplored this culture together with the culture of vote of no confidence.
The President has gone to lengths explaining how votes of no confidence are carried out and the procedures to be followed before one can be relieved of his duties.
We hear from the media that an anonymous Zanu-PF official said such a hideous practice is soon to come back and hound the party. If the party is not careful of the existence of the fifth column within itself it will not be surprising if it follows the path of extinction as KANU and UNIP did.
Today the nation and party followers continue to be told that they are people within the party who intimidate others. We continue to be told so and so is leading such and such faction and deserves to be denigrated in public. Surprisingly, its only one alleged factional leader who is denigrated while the party pretends that the other factional leader does not exist.
How can that be if such a faction has a name ascribed to it and individual comrades are alleged to belong to it? The Central Committee, as the highest organ of the party, needs to seriously and openly discuss this matter before the party is destroyed from within.
There is now a tendency of some senior party officials manipulating the one centre of power and claiming that the President needs their protection when in fact these individuals are working in cahoots with the fifth column to destroy the party from within.
This is evidenced by their failure to use party structures in solving party issues. It is also further evidenced by them disobeying the very one centre of power directives which states that party issues must never be discussed in the media and public forums.
By tweeting or having stories concerning party issues published in the print media and making utterances that denigrate senior party officials in public, the individuals will be displaying their arrogance against the one centre of power's directives for everyone to stop doing so.
People cannot claim allegiance to a person whose directives they publicly defy with impunity during daylight. This practice cannot be regarded by any right-minded comrades as displaying loyalty to one's leader.
Zanu-PF, therefore, needs to take audit of behaviours and discipline of its membership within its ranks. It also needs to take audit of claims of allegiances and loyalties exhibited by its members particularly those in senior party positions.
It is now time for the revolutionary party to seriously carry out a self party introspection on discipline and behaviours displayed by some party members in the guise of them acting in solidarity with the Party President when in fact they could be working for other interests. Icho!
