Highlanders 0 - 0 Masvingo United
Highlanders failed to collect maximum points at home when they were held to a goalless draw in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Barbourfields Stadium Sunday.
Despite overshadowing Masvingo during the entire 90 minutes of the match, Bosso only had a handful of shots at goal and the visitors' goalkeeper Francis Tizayi was virtually on holiday save for the dying minutes of the match.
Bosso striker Njabulo Ncube did not get the support he deserved and at times had to work himself back into the centre to get the ball.
Highlanders started off on the offensive in the first half but failed to break through and Luke Masomere's Masvingo looked determined to snatch the points from their hosts.
Highlanders' assistant coach Mark Mathe blamed the loss on the team's failure to utilise chances. It was a good day for Masvingo United goalkeeper Tizayi, the man-of-the-match and Johnson Zimbabe, whose manoeuvres from the visitors' counter-raids could have earned them a goal.
Teams Highlanders A Sibanda, L Nkomo, G Lunga, I Mapuranga, G Banda, E Mudzingwa, L Matawu (M Mburayi 35th minute), B Ndlovu, N Ncube, R Kutsanzira, G Ncube (V Nzombe 59th min)
