Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona told South African website Football365.co.za he is delighted over Nyasha Mushekwi's form at Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Zimbabwean duo top the PSL's scoring charts, with Musona leading the pack with 10 League goals, while Mushekwi is two behind his compatriot with eight goals after he hit a brace for The Brazilians against Santos over the weekend in a 3-1 win.

Musona is not bothered by Mushekwi catching up with him in the scoring stakes, but rather delighted for his compatriot and for Zimbabwean football.

"The fact that Mushekwi and myself are among the top scorers is very good for our national team," he told this site.

"I'm very happy for him that he is scoring the goals for Sundowns and I think we can form a good combination for our national team.

"I'm very impressed by him because he is scoring goals for Sundowns all the time even though this is his first season in the PSL, it just means he is another bright talent to come out of Zimbabwe. I just hope we can be partnered together when we play against Mali in March in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier," he added.

Zimbabwe have been misfiring in front of goal so far after drawing 1-1 away to Liberia and following that up with a goalless draw at home to Cape Verde.

Meanwhile, Musona says he is not concerned that Orlando Pirates extended their lead at the top of the PSL standings, while Chiefs' match against Moroka Swallows was postponed due to cable theft.

He said: "Look, there is no need for us to look at other teams. It will be good for us if we focus on ourselves rather than the other teams.

"We just have to make sure we get all the three points when we get to play Swallows but there is no point worrying over the other teams."
