UEFA has handed Arsenal's Arsene Wenger and Samir Nasri a match-ban following a protest by both men against Referee Massimo Busacca a week ago.

The two Gunners were thrown into anger after a controversial decision from the notorious official completely tossed Arsenal out of their Champions League game against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. The English giants were already barely in control at the time the major turnaround sealed the hosts' success in the Round of 16'but it is in fact the unjustifiable stealing of the Londoners' gigantic opportunity to survive, which utterly caused Wenger and Nasri to pester Busacca over his key decision.

Van Persie's sending off for kicking the ball a second after the referee had blown his whistle for offside has yet to get some reason. However, the Union of European Football Associations is not ready to encourage Arsenal's conduct subsequent to the "skirmish".

According the Guardian, the Frenchman said while expressing his thought on his regrettable night in Spain: "It's not a surprise the referee did not book a single Barcelona player. I just spoke to UEFA people; they are shocked as well.

"He (Referee Massimo Busacca) killed a promising, fantastic football match... what for? If it's a bad tackle, it's a second bookable offence. But the way he did it is embarrassing if you love the game.

"How can you kill a football game like that? It was a very promising game, very interesting... that's the regret."

Wenger and Nasri have been given three days to decide whether to appeal; nonetheless, doing so could make the situation even more complicated, and it could even distract Arsenal in their upcoming games. Considering this fact, the manager is expected to accept his punishment without a word, while Nasri would do well to follow his boss' steps.

A statement from UEFA's official website read: "Arsene Wenger and Samir Nasri have both been suspended for one UEFA club competition match following charges of improper conduct. The Arsenal manager has also been fined €10,000. An appeal may be lodged against the ruling within three days of the dispatch of the reasoned decision."

Tottenham Hotspur first-team coach Joe Jordan has also been penalized with a one-match ban, following his confrontation with AC Milan's Gattuso during a game between both sides in the Champions League's Last 16. The sanctions given to Wenger and Jordan prevent them from entering their respective teams' dressing rooms, technical zone, tunnel, and it also disables them from providing their players support and ideas on the sidelines'for a single UEFA club competition match-day.
