A Romanian father has been fined after bizarre footage emerged of him carrying four children in the open boot of his car on a motorway.
The driver, from Cluj Napoca, Romania, was filmed by another horrified motorist who spotted the youngsters kneeling in the compartment and hanging onto the open boot lid with their hands.
And although the children seem relatively unperturbed - pointing at other drivers and the scenery - the wind blowing their hair about illustrates how exposed they are as the car motors along.
Footage shows the car moving across two motorway lanes before disappearing up a slip road, just ahead of a giant truck.
Police - who tracked down the car from its registration number - say the driver was arrested and fined.
Cluj traffic police spokeswoman Adnana Ilies rold local media: "The driver was fined twice."
"Once for transporting more passengers than the capacity of the car allows, again for turning left when he should have gone straight on.
"In total he received a 250 Euro fine and six penalty points," she added.
