Nelson Chamisa, the leader of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has acknowledged the growing impatience within the party's support base due to recent recalls orchestrated by Sengezo Tshabangu. Critics have challenged Chamisa's approach and called for more decisive action following the recalls of CCC MPs and councillors.

Chamisa, while maintaining his commitment to a peaceful course, recognized that this patience could lead to questions about the opposition's integrity and credentials. He emphasized that the struggle is not solely his or the leader's but a collective endeavor, encouraging citizens to mobilize, organize, engage peacefully, and participate in the democratic process.

Despite the challenges and setbacks, Chamisa vowed not to engage in protests that could lead to loss of life. He emphasized the importance of peaceful methods, even if it takes more time and effort, as they are essential for building a free and peaceful Zimbabwe for all.

Tshabangu, whom Chamisa referred to as an impostor, recently recalled 15 lawmakers from parliament and proceeded to appoint himself and two others as authorized signatories of nomination papers for the upcoming by-elections. Following these developments, President Emmerson Mnangagwa proclaimed December 9 as the date for by-elections.
