Girl (15) 'raped' in exchange for edible soil

A man from Sidojiwe Flats in Bulawayo has been dragged to court to answer a charge of raping a neighbour's daughter in exchange for edible soil that the girl wanted from him.
Nhlanhla Moyo (30) was not asked to plead to rape when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Batanai Tuwe.
The matter was remanded to November 15 and he is in custody.
The court heard that sometime in April this year the complainant a girl aged 15 went to Moyo's home to ask for edible soil.
Moyo was sleeping when the girl got in he locked the door from inside.
She then asked for edible soil and Moyo refuse to give her saying he will do that only if she agreed to sleep with him.
The girl then agreed before removing her skin tight and panties. She then joined Moyo on bed and they had sex without protection.
After the act the girl wore her pants and heard her mother looking for her outside. But Moyo told the mother that she was not there.
The girl later got out of the room through the window and met her mother before telling her that she had been abused by Moyo.
A report made to the police led to Moyo's arrest.
