Two brothers have been nabbed for allegedly attacking a suspected thief with a mattock leading to his death.
Kasikai, 34, and Pasca Goodzi, 19, were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare magistrate Josephine Sande charged with murder.
They were advised to apply for bail at the High Court and the matter was remanded to October 10.
Allegations are that on July 9, the pair was coming from Sunningdale 2 Shopping Centre when they arrived home and saw the deceased, Tendai Vera, carrying a full sack of stolen clothes and blankets.
Kasikai reportedly manhandled Vera while Pasca sought assistance from the other residents.
Winmore Mhlanga and Allias Chibhanzi who are still on the run came out of the house with a mattock and used it to attack Vera.
They reportedly dumped the deceased's body along Boshof Road opposite their house and he was taken to Harare Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
On September 24, information was received to the effect that Kasikai was at his house leading to his arrest.
Kasikai admitted that he is one of the people who assaulted Vera and assisted the police officers to arrest Pasca.
