Norton Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa has demanded the report of the investigation that probed the death of Banker Douglas Munatsi who died in November 2021 in a mysterious fire that gutted his apartment.
Said Mliswa, "Doug Munatsi died on the 29th of Nov 2021 and even the President said the death was suspicious. They was a team to investigate the death. It's logical that the matter by now should have been put to closure through the presentation of findings.
"I was close to Doug and I wouldn't want to remain with questions about what happened to him. His family deserves closure and the responsible authorities must be able to conclude this case expeditiously. The absence of a conclusion on the matter creates even more questions."
Munatsi, was the chief executive officer of the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA)..
It is said the businessman was alone in his penthouse at the upmarket Northfields apartments in Harare when an inferno engulfed his room.
A successful farmer, an associate of the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe (BAZ), and once BancABC chief executive, Mr Munatsi had a finance and investment background, holding a Master of Business Administration (Finance) degree from the American University in Washington DC.
