Matabeleland North Province Senator Sengezo Tshabangu has been named the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, overseeing both the National Assembly and the Senate.

The announcement was made this afternoon by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, during a session of the National Assembly.

With this new role, Sen Tshabangu will serve as the primary liaison for the Government and various stakeholders in all engagements with the opposition.
