Man dumps wife for giving birth to triplets

A HARARE dumped his wife after she gave birth to triplets saying he could not afford to shoulder the responsibilities.
Mercy Chiura told magistrate Meenal Narotam that she was struggling to take care of the triplets alone.
She was demanding US$150 from her ex-lover Luckmore Musore for the upkeep of their children.
Chiura said she was struggling to make ends meet as she was only earning US$ 50 as a maid.
Musore said he could only afford to pay US$60 for the upkeep of his children He said he worked as a tiling specialist and earned at least US$50 per month.
Musore said he had another family to take care of.
The court ordered him to pay US$ 84 a month towards the upkeep of the children.
