Zimbabwe suspends selling of urban state land

The Government of Zimbabwe has announced an immediate moratorium on the allocation of urban state land. This measure is intended to improve the administration and management of this critical and limited resource, essential for the country's development goals.

The Ministry of Local Government and Public Works stated it is reviewing and enhancing the existing policies and guidelines on managing urban state land.

The Ministry emphasized the need for an efficient and transparent system to ensure that urban state land supports sustainable and functional developments.

This move aligns with the national development objectives outlined in the National Development Strategy 1 and Vision 2030.
