Harare woman arrested for stabbing husband over loan shark dispute

Police in Harare have arrested a 31-year-old woman, Tafadzwa Mandaza, following a violent domestic incident in Epworth involving a dispute over debts owed to loan sharks.
According to a statement posted by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on X, Mandaza allegedly stabbed her husband, Abraham Chirivhayo (35), during a heated argument on October 23, 2025.
"The complainant has since been referred to a local hospital for medical attention after sustaining a deep cut on the stomach, resulting in protruding intestines," the police confirmed.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing, and further updates on Chirivhayo's condition will be released in due course. The ZRP reiterated its stance against domestic violence, urging citizens to seek peaceful conflict resolution and support services when facing financial or relationship stress.
