Zanu PF has named Thadius Pesanai Chadenga as its new Director General, taking over from Brigadier General (Retired) Ezekiel Zabanyana, who has been reassigned to other duties.
The announcement was made in Harare this afternoon by Zanu PF Secretary General Advocate Jacob Mudenda.
"I would like to inform you that Zabanyana, who was our Director General, was relieved of his duties by President Mnangagwa and assigned elsewhere," Mudenda said. "We now have a new Director General, Chadenga. He was appointed on October 6, 2025."
Advocate Mudenda highlighted Chadenga's extensive administrative and diplomatic experience. "He has been in the diplomatic service for many years and served in several countries," he said. "He is also a member of the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle."
Chadenga has held senior diplomatic postings across the Americas, Europe, and Africa and served as a senior officer in the President's Department, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role in the party.
