MASHONALAND CENTRAL - Police in Concession have arrested Aaron Jonasi (26) in connection with the murder of a two-year-old girl at Dancombe Farm Compound.
In a press brief, police confirmed the arrest, stating that the incident occurred on November 22.
"On November 22, Police in Concession arrested Aaron Jonasi (26) in connection with a murder case which occurred at Dancombe Farm Compound, Concession," police said.
Authorities allege that Jonasi, who is believed to have mental health challenges, struck the child twice on the head with a stone.
The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Concession Hospital, where she died upon admission.
