New Clerk of Parliament announced

Kennedy Mugove Chokuda has been appointed new Clerk of Parliament with immediate effect, Bulawayo24 can reveal.
Chokuda has been acting since last November following the retirement of Austin Zvoma.
Chokuda was the Deputy Clerk of Parliament.
Fifty candidates were eyeing the post.
Zvoma retired as Clerk of Parliament after holding the post for 25 years.
A Clerk of Parliament is appointed for a six-year term and may be reappointed at the expiry of his first term.
Chokuda appointment was announced during a live Parliament Live debate on ZTV today.
