A Kambuzuma landlady was assaulted by her male tenant over rent arrears until she fainted.
She was attacked as she was on her way to a police station.
According to H-Metro, Claude Zuva aged 26 was approached by her landlady over rentals. That was on May 4 at around 7am. Zuva said he had no money for electricity and water bills.
But the unnamed landlady thought he was lying.
This did not go well with Zuva, who then started shouting and pointing fingers at his landlady.
The court heard that she did not respond and this also did not go down well with Zuva who then started assaulting her with open hands.
He is said to have also attacked her while she was on her way to the police station until she fainted.
She only regained consciousness in hospital where she was being treated.
A report was made leading to the arrest of Zuva.
In court, he was jailed for five months by magistrate Jessy Kufa.
