The Zimbabwe Football Association has lifted suspensions of some football administrators and coaches that had been charged with various offences following meetings held by the ZIFA president and Southern Region ZIFA councillors in Bulawayo.

ZIFA president Phillip Chiyangwa confirmed the agreement to recommend to the ZIFA assembly the lifting of suspensions to Edzayi Kasinauyo, former Warriors assistant coach and Hwange gaffer Nation Dube, former Warriors head coach Ian Gorowa, Bulawayo City chairman Jerry Sibanda, and former Highlanders chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede.Â

Chiyangwa highlighted that the case involving suspended Highlanders and Premier Soccer League chairperson Peter Dube, had been referred to the review committee.

The ZIFA boss who was on his way to a COSAFA meeting in South Africa also confirmed that the hosting of the COSAFA Women's Championship by Zimbabwe will be in the southern and central regions of the country.

He pointed out that the hunt for technical personnel for both the senior men's team, the Warriors, and their women counterparts, the Mighty Warriors, was now on course while the appointment of a substantive chief executive officer was set to be concluded by June.

The meeting also sought to gather views from the councillors to be carried to the COSAFA meeting and agreed to have new stringent conditions for the selection of players to the national team as a way of curbing indiscipline.
