Chipolopolo regroup to face Warriors

THE Zambia national soccer team regrouped in Ndola yesterday to start preparations for this Wednesday's Zambezi basin international friendly against Zimbabwe.
And the Zimbabwe national soccer team is expected to arrive in Ndola today ahead of the international friendly set for the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Zambia will host the 'Warriors' of Zimbabwe at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in a strength-testing match ahead of next month's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifier against Uganda.
Chipolopolo's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifier opponents the 'Cranes' of Uganda have also lined up a friendly against Malawi on August 15 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Zimbabwe-based defender Aaron Katebe of FC Hwange and Lawrence Phiri of FC Progresso are the only foreign-based players summoned for the Zimbabwe friendly.
Zambia will also use the friendly against South Korea to prepare for the September 8, Africa Cup of Nations first leg qualifier against Uganda.
The absence of TP Mazembe Zambian players will afford local players chance to prove themselves and stake claims for inclusion in the Chipolopolo squad.
