Dynamos 3 - 2 Highlanders - Penalties
Dynamos have won the Gushungo Victory Cup after beating perennial rivals, Highlanders 3-2 on penalties.
The match, which was played at the National Sports Stadium, ended nil-all in regulation time and had to be decided from six yards.
Dembare missed their first two penalties taken by captain Augustine Mbara and Fabrice Mbimba but Highlanders blew its early lead as goalkeeper, Munyaradzi Dhiya, Gabriel Nyoni and Valentine Ndaba all missed to hand Dembare's young and promising star, Blessing Moyo a golden opportunity of being the match winner.
Moyo did not disappoint as he forced the ball between the the Bosso goalkeeper and the upright.
For the win, Dynamos walked away US$45 000 richer while Bosso got US$35 000 consolation.
The cup was part of celebrations after President Robert Mugabe and Zanu-PF's landslide victory in last year's general elections.
