Bulawayo Chiefs 2-1 Dynamos
Dynamos FC suffered their first defeat at Barbourfields Stadium this season, losing 2-1 to Bulawayo Chiefs FC in a Castle Lager Premiership match.

DeMbare coach Genesis Mangombe attributed the defeat to complacency and a lack of character from his players. He expressed disappointment with their performance and highlighted the importance of a change in attitude.

Bulawayo Chiefs FC secured their victory, marking their season's dominance over DeMbare, having won the first round 3-2 in Harare. Coach Johanisi Nhumwa described the win as satisfying and praised Dynamos as a strong team.

Nhumwa revealed that the allowances dispute among Chiefs' players had been settled, boosting their motivation. Chiefs' captain Malvin Mkolo opened the scoring, with Dominic Mudadi equalizing for Dynamos shortly after. Obriel Chirinda scored the winning goal for Chiefs, his 10th of the season.

The match saw a flurry of goals within five minutes of the second half, potentially due to a lapse in concentration from both teams. Mangombe expressed disappointment with his team's missed opportunities in the first half when they dominated play.

Bulawayo Chiefs' goalkeeper, Issah Ali, redeemed himself in the second half with crucial saves. The match also witnessed a yellow card for Chiefs' captain Frank Makarati, which Mangombe considered a harsh but somewhat warranted decision.

With this win, Chiefs accumulated 29 points, while Dynamos maintained their position with 36 points.

In another match, Hwange FC defeated Cranborne Bullets 1-0 at Nyamhunga Stadium in Kariba, with Marcellin Mlilo scoring the winning goal as they continue to battle relegation.
