Father, aunt kill girl for drug abuse

The Zimbabwe Republic Police on Monday arrested a man and woman in Harare for allegedly killing a girl, accusing her of drug abuse.
The man who is the girl's biological father and the woman who is the deceased's aunt severely assaulted the girl leading to her death.
In a statement, the police said the two where in police custody facing murder charges.
"The ZRP has arrested Nomore Makwinja (51) and Diana Makwinja (62) in Budiriro suburb , Harare in connection with the murder of Diana Makwinja (16). The father and aunt severely assaulted the minor while trying to discipline her for drug abuse activities and immoral behaviour", read the police statement.
Meanwhile, another case of murder was recorded in Gutu over the weekend where a woman killed her husband with a brick.
Circumstances are that, the woman was selling opaque beer at their homestead and when her husband complained, she struck him with a brick resulting on the man dying on the spot.
