Zanu-PF linked cleric gets honorary doctorate

Andby Makururu, a prominent figure within Zanu-PF and the leader of the Johanne the Fifth of African Bishop, was recently awarded an honorary doctorate by Maxlus Christian University in South Africa. The recognition, received on Wednesday, applauds his efforts in promoting Christian values and his charitable endeavors.
Upon his return to Harare at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, Makururu addressed his congregation, expressing his gratitude, stating, "Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to spreading the message of God, traveling across our nation, the region, and the world. I have faced numerous challenges as the bishop of my church, but I remain committed to tirelessly preaching the gospel of prosperity."
Makururu is recognized as a sympathizer of Zanu-PF and has held meetings with President Emmerson Mnangagwa on multiple occasions, including a visit to State House prior to the August 23 and 24 elections. During this meeting, he pledged to rally millions of his followers to support the Zanu-PF leader.
