A 24-year-old man, Bright Chikomo, was arrested on Thursday for his involvement in a robbery that took place at a residence in Eastview, Phase 15, Mabvuku, Harare. The robbery occurred on November 28, 2024, when Chikomo, along with an accomplice identified only as "Digital," attacked a couple in their home, stealing cash, cellphones, and a blanket.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed Chikomo's arrest, stating that the suspect was positively identified by the wife of the couple during the robbery. This identification led to Chikomo's swift apprehension. Authorities also recovered a knife from the suspect's trousers pocket at the time of his arrest.

The second suspect, "Digital," is still at large, and police have urged anyone with information regarding the fugitive's whereabouts to report it to the nearest police station.

In a separate incident on the same day, three armed suspects carried out a violent robbery at a residence along Cecil Road in Greendale, Harare.
