Zanu-PF Chikomba district in Mashonaland East Province has demonstrated against three Central Committee members they accuse of vote-buying and fanning factionalism.

War veterans and Zanu-PF members were part of the demonstrations today against three senatorial aspirants;  Dombo Munyoro,  Moreblessing Mushure and  Stephen Chiurayi.

"We have evidence that there was massive vote-buying in the nomination of the Central Committee members. However we will not stand by and let corrupt individuals infiltrate the party," said  John Tendai Jemwa, the War Veterans District Commissar.

Meanwhile,  Simon Musanhu, who is the legislator for Hwedza is also under fire with party members in his constituency calling for him to be booted out.

Musanhu is accused of colluding with ousted Mashonaland East Provincial Chairman,  Ray Kaukonde in financing a scheme to topple President Robert Mugabe.

Musanhu is also accused together with  Rosemary Goto, whom the province want recalled from the party's Central Committee,  Rodwell Zinyemba,  Vaida Garakasha and  Morgan Machakwa of fanning factionalism in Zanu-PF.

The province has since passed a vote of no confidence on these individuals following reports that they were funded through dubious sources to cause disharmony in Zanu-PF through factionalism.
