Harare elects Mupamaonde as new Deputy Mayor

Councillor Enock Mupamaonde, a lecturer with the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) who is councillor elect for Ward 35 in Mufakose has been elected the new Deputy Mayor of Harare at this afternoon's full council meeting.

Mupamaonde is the audit committee chairperson.

Councillor Mupamaonde beat Councillor Samuel Chinyowa by 23 votes to five to win post.

One councillor did not attend the meeting.
